Are You Looking For A New Approach To Therapy?

Despite being successful in many areas of your life, are you dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, or grief that you have no outlet for? Are you struggling with alcohol, sex, or drug addiction and looking to discreetly overcome those challenges in a way that won’t impact your reputation or image?

Perhaps you are having trouble communicating with your partner, meeting someone special, or maintaining healthy relationships, but you are too busy for traditional counseling sessions. Or maybe you’re looking for an experienced black therapist who understands the barriers and obstacles that people of color face.

There are many reasons that can keep you from the therapist’s office, but online therapy gives you convenient access no matter what you are going through. Given the impact of COVID-19, you are likely worried about your safety and well-being in the midst of an uncertain future. Your schedule may be so busy that you simply can’t make time for traditional therapy even though you feel like something is off and want help. And if you are in a high-profile position, you may be concerned that traditional in-person counseling is too great of a risk to your privacy.

Whether you are looking for a new therapist, a different approach to counseling, or someone you can talk with online to continue your healing, Insideout Living can help. We offer a range of services, including online group therapy, intensive interventions, couples counseling, and individual support that can help you live a happier, healthier life.

Teletherapy Is A Powerful Tool In The Fight For Better Mental Health

Therapy, in all its forms, is becoming more and more mainstream every day. However, people are still naturally hesitant to share their stories with others, which is one of the reasons why the anonymity of online counseling services is so alluring and effective.

Though virtual counseling has been utilized in one form or another for over 20 years (most notably by military members), the explosion in cellphone technology has made it even more accessible. The ease and convenience of scheduling a therapy appointment online and talking with a counselor from the privacy of your own home—or wherever you may be—is immensely beneficial, especially if you’re seeking therapy for the first time. Given the inconvenience of fighting traffic, making long commutes, navigating inclement weather, and dodging COVID-19, online therapy is a practical and convenient alternative to traditional counseling.

So if you are running into the same old problems in your relationships or with your mental health, Insideout Living can help you find creative ways of improving your overall quality of life from the comfort of your home.

Online Therapy Offers Flexible Support That Meets You Where You Are

Life is difficult for everyone. But for those of us living in the greater Chicago area, the stress of pursuing careers, navigating relationships, and raising families gives us little time to care for ourselves. Fortunately, telehealth services are a powerful and equally effective alternative to traditional counseling that is flexible enough to meet you where you are.

Just like connecting in person, virtual counseling has the proven ability to change how the mind works, strengthening the connection between regions of the brain that can help reduce symptoms and support recovery. So whatever you are experiencing, our team of specialists can offer you self-awareness, practical guidance, and skills that you can use outside of sessions to overcome challenges on your own.

At Insideout Living, we strive to provide the same level of services and care to all our clients whether we meet face-to-face or virtually. We offer couples and marriage therapy, individual counseling, group therapy, and personalized intensive programs online. Our specialists are trained to address a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, grief and loss, relationship problems, addiction, and more.*

We also use the same tools as we would in person, including Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Experiential Therapy, Psychoeducation, and Somatic Therapy as well as yoga and mindfulness strategies for regulating emotions.

To get our sessions started, all you need is to give us a call. An intake coordinator will assess your situation and fit you with the most suitable therapist based on your unique needs. Then your therapist will reach out to you with some forms to fill out, a link to a portal for scheduling an appointment, and an invitation to your private video counseling room. All of our sessions and billing are conducted via TherapyNotes, our secure, HIPAA-compliant conferencing software.

On your end, counseling only requires that you have a strong internet connection, a quiet, private place to talk, and a phone, tablet, laptop, or any device capable of streaming live video. We can meet with individuals, couples, and in groups, depending on your needs and preferences. All we ask is that if you have to cancel a session, let us know 24 hours in advance to avoid any unnecessary charges.

Self-care is a need that we often overlook, but online therapy is an easy way to heal and safeguard your health without taking much time away from your family or personal life. Since 2009, Insideout Living has been helping clients awaken new perspectives and begin believing in themselves and hoping again. As we work together, you’ll feel the fog of anxiety, overwhelm, and negative thinking lift, improving your overall sense of mental and physical well-being.

Perhaps you are considering online therapy but still have some concerns…

Can I really afford therapy?

Think of your investment in therapy in terms of short and long-term gains. Just talking with a professional enables you to decrease the distraction of overthinking and provides profound and immediate relief. In many ways, therapy is a form of mental wealth that will increase your life’s dividends as well as protect the relationships that are most important to you. By temporarily investing in self-care, you can achieve long-term benefits in nearly every other area of your life.

What if people find out that I am in therapy?

The stigma of utilizing therapy as a self-care option is dramatically fading. In fact, in many circles, seeking to better yourself or address old wounds has become a sign of self-awareness, courage, and intuitive wisdom. Whether you are having trouble dealing with relationship issues, connecting with someone special, or dealing with personal challenges, talking with a counselor online can be incredibly beneficial. And because working online provides an added layer of anonymity and privacy, you won’t have to worry about people knowing your business.

Are your online therapy services covered by insurance?

Every provider has different policies, so it’s important for you to discuss your coverage with your insurance company. However, for nearly two decades, we have been providing superbills that are compliant with insurance company standards to our clients to assist with potential reimbursement. That said, we still recommend checking with your provider and advocating for coverage prior to your first session.
