We didn’t start Insideout Living because we had all the answers.
We started it because we were searching, too.
What began as a friendship between two people trying to grow beyond survival became a lifelong calling — to help others heal, lead, and live from the inside out.
Two lives. One vision.
A shared journey from performance to presence and the creation of a space where transformation begins within.
We grew up in the same town, traveling in different circles, until life brought us back together years later. That reconnection carried more than we expected. We were both striving, both pretending, both holding more than was honest to say out loud. What we needed most became our mission: to heal, restore, and return to ourselves.
From the beginning, healing wasn’t just what we offered — it was how we lived.
Through valleys and victories, we learned that transformation is not linear.
It is sacred, embodied, relational, and deeply human.
Together, we built one of the region’s most respected centers for trauma and addiction recovery — blending clinical excellence with profound relational depth. Along the way, we mentored and launched more than fifteen therapists, many of whom began their journeys with us and now lead thriving practices of their own.
This legacy of empowerment continues to guide everything we do. Because when healing is embodied, it becomes a generational inheritance.

Insideout Living — A Legacy of Wholeness
Insideout Living™ was born from these roots — decades of sitting with stories, walking alongside transformation, and witnessing what’s possible when people remember who they are.
What began as a therapy practice has evolved into a movement, guiding individuals, couples, and organizations to shift from survival to sacred alignment.
Our work now bridges clinical depth with leadership restoration, offering experiences that integrate:
Trauma-informed psychology
Somatic and nervous-system regulation
Spiritual and ancestral wisdom
Relational and organizational transformation
Through every offering: The Second Knowing™, Safe Tables™, Couples Intensives, and executive retreats; the mission remains the same:
To restore people to themselves so they can lead, love, and live from wholeness.
With gratitude,
Lisa & Steve Lackey

“Legacy isn’t what we leave behind.
It’s what we awaken within others.”
Meet Lisa
Lisa Lackey, M.A., LCPC, CSAT, CMAT
Women’s Transformation & Deep Identity Coach
Lisa guides high-achieving women who look successful on the outside but feel disconnected on the inside. Her work helps them reclaim their voice, their power, and their peace — not by striving, but by returning to themselves.
With more than two decades of clinical experience, Lisa blends science, psychology, and embodied spiritual wisdom to help women turn insight into change and healing into leadership. Her approach is straightforward, grounded, trauma-informed, and rooted in the realities of women who carry a great deal.
As the creator of The Second Knowing™, Lisa guides women through awakening and deepening — a process that transforms self-awareness into emotional steadiness, intuitive clarity, and grounded presence. Drawing from nervous system science, ancestral intelligence, and emotional truth, she equips women to navigate leadership, relationships, and life transitions with discernment and ease.
“My work isn’t about repairing women. It’s about guiding them back to what they already carry: wholeness, truth, and inner wisdom.”
Meet Steve
Steve Lackey, M.A., ASAT, AMAT, CPLC
Men’s Transformation & Identity Recovery Coach
Steve works with men who carry enormous responsibility — leaders, partners, fathers, athletes, and men navigating pressure in public and private spaces. He helps them build the emotional clarity, internal steadiness, and relational integrity they were never taught but always needed.
With more than 30 years of leadership and coaching experience, Steve blends accountability, nervous system awareness, emotional honesty, and spiritual grounding to help men do the work that matters: telling the truth, repairing what’s been strained, and becoming the kind of man their life requires.
As the creator of Safe Tables™, Steve offers men a confidential space to take off the mask, slow down, and be human. His work supports men in navigating identity shifts, relational strain, addictive patterns, spiritual disconnection, and the hidden pressure of success. He guides men into greater presence, responsibility, and emotional resilience — without shame, judgment, or performance.
Steve integrates advanced training in addiction recovery (ASAT, AMAT), professional life coaching (CPLC), and decades of lived experience to help men lead their lives with clarity, accountability, and grounded strength.
“My work isn’t to judge men — it’s to walk with them as they become who they were meant to be.”
What We Believe
Transformation begins within, and it touches every part of your life.
We believe people are not meant to carry everything alone.
Life asks a lot of us: leadership, relationships, family, responsibility — and most high-achieving adults learn to carry more than any one nervous system was designed for.We believe change happens in the body, the mind, and the spirit — together.
Fundamental transformation requires emotional honesty, somatic awareness, and spiritual grounding. When those three come together, people become steadier, clearer, and more aligned with who they truly are.We believe in culturally rooted, trauma-informed, spiritually grounded care.
People bring their lineage, their lived experience, and their stories into every room they enter. We honor it all and help you make sense of what life has shaped.
We believe relationships are the mirror and the medicine.
Whether in a partnership, a family, a friendship, or a leadership team, we heal and grow through connection.
When the relationship grows, life grows. We believe your becoming is sacred work.
Not a quick fix, not self-improvement, not perfection, but a return to the truth of who you are.We believe your next chapter deserves support that matches the depth of your life.
Support that is steady, practical, spiritually honest, and emotionally grounded.
Support that strengthens leaders, couples, athletes, and high-performing individuals without asking them to sacrifice their peace.
And we believe this:
When one person grows, everyone connected to them feels the shift: families, teams, communities, and generations.
These truths guide every circle we hold and every story we witness.
Insideout Living is more than a practice, it’s a way of life.
What We Teach
We teach emotional, spiritual, and relational restoration as a way of living, not a moment in time.
This work strengthens the people who strengthen families, communities, and futures, one honest life at a time.
